Our media company was purchased in part by the late Stanley W. Boone in the 1930’s and has been family owned since that time. Boone Newspapers, Inc. [BNI] owns and/or manages newspapers and free shopping guides in 70 communities in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Virginia, North Carolina, ,Oklahoma Ohio, Tennessee and Texas. James B. Boone, Jr. [Jim], chairman, lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Todd H. Carpenter, president and CEO, lives in Natchez, Mississippi. Other key executive personnel live in those and other BNI-served communities.
